My name is Zhang Junti. I'm currently a second-year PhD student at the
Institute of Data Science (IDS)
at the National University of Singapore, holding the President's Graduate Fellowship.
I'm supervised by Prof. Yi-Chieh (EJ) Lee
in the AI4SG Lab.
Before that, I received my Master's degree from NUS School of Medicine in 2024 and my B.Eng. with First Class Honours from the University of Leeds.
My journey has taken me through engineering, medicine, and data science, and I now aim to become an HCI researcher.
My research explores how AI can facilitate reflective and analytical thinking. I enjoy learning across disciplines and collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds.
What I hope to get from a PhD01
After a PhD, you should have the inclination and ability to research anything, whether it be mortgages, biology, cooking or Toyota engines, and the expectation that you will understand it.
